Blessing Today
(Picture it, a demonstration to a class of 20 Kindergarteners.)
Me: “Class, did you know that learning makes your brain bigger? Every piece of information you learn makes connections with other pieces of information. That’s why when Mr. Phillips shows you something, it’s important to pay attention so our brains can get bigger!”
(I finished up my demonstration and sent the kids off to create some art. About 15 minutes later….)
Luis: “Mr. Phillips, Mr. Phillips!”
Me: “What’s up, Luis?”
Luis: “I can feel it!”
Me: “What’s wrong?!”
Luis: “I can feel my brain getting bigger!”
Me: “Whoo hoo! Way to go Luis!”
Spoken as only a Kindergartener can.
