Adult Art Classes

This Summer, I will be holding three, separate 4-night art classes for adults only (sorry kids!).

Hey, adults can have fun, too, right? So, just like my kids-only classes, we will be learning to see things in a new way and practicing the skill of direct painting using acrylics.

The step-by-step approach we will be following as a class will help you learn what to do and how to do it. We will be creating 3-5 paintings over the four nights of classes. On our first night, we will lay out the foundation for a couple of paintings. Then, throughout the week we will apply the skills and techniques covered during the classes to complete those pieces. Depending on how much we can accomplish, topics may include:

  • Palette Setup
  • Color-mixing Basics
  • Value
  • Still Life Basics
  • Lighting and Shadows
  • Landscape Basics
  • Volume and Mass (the Keys to Realism)

Sound like a lot? No worries! The key is to have fun and learn something new. There will be no tests … promise! To learn more about where class will be held and me, scroll down to “Location” and “Your Instructor” after the registration form.

When

Class time will be Monday through Thursday night from 6:30-8:00pm. My adult classes are limited to four people per session. The dates I’ll be offering classes will be:

  • July 8, 9, 10, 11th
  • July 29, 30, 31, August 1st
  • August 5, 6, 7, 8th

But what about …

  • Q: I have a group of friends (or family members) that I’d like to do the classes with but I don’t know if the class is still open?
That’s fine. Simply sign up and put the other names into the Comments section. I’ll contact you.
  • Q: I have four friends but we’d like a different date (or time) that’s not listed. Will you work with us?
As long as my schedule will allow it, I’ll make it work! Email me
