I so enjoy when I come across a stories such as these. They are equally fun and inspiring; almost magical! Here a middle school art teacher uses his own chalkboard art as a hook to engage his students.
Nate, the art teacher, speaks of the wonderful sense of release that comes from knowing that his work is not a permanent installation when he says,
There is something kind of nice about knowing that it will be erased. I don’t fret over supplies, paper, whether or not I should keep it… Kids see it and then it disappears.
So, what’s your take? Is it merely chalk dust or stardust? Remember, inspiration is all around us. Sometimes we just need to look for the magic.
